Chiropractic is a natural, non-invasive approach to helping the body function at its highest capacity. The nervous system controls every cell, tissue and organ in the body. Chiropractic care works to remove interference between the nervous system and these structures, having the potential to affect a variety of maladies impacting people today. In addition, it helps joints move more fluidly, resulting in decreased pain and increased range of motion for the body.
Chiropractic Services
Jump Stretch Flexband workouts provide progressive resistance training for individuals of all ages. The unique program utilizes patented rubber bands to create a dynamic stretch that assists in integrating the neuro-muscular system. Flexband training is a cutting edge technique for athletes of all ages, all levels and all sports. It helps athletes to improve their speed, flexibility, foot quickness, vertical jump, coordination, power and strength. Flexband also provides amazing rehabilitation and therapeutic benefits for individuals as it greatly reduces “downtime” from sprains and strains while aiding in the healing of various muscle and skeletal injuries. Cranial Balancing
Cranial balancing is a very gentle, hands-on therapy. It consists of the protocol from Cranial Decompression and integrates some techniques from Cranial-Sacral Therapy. Its focus is to realign the individual bones of the cranium which have been distorted from cranial trauma. Since the 22 bones of the cranium are all moveable and remain so throughout all of our lives, it is possible and necessary to correct their positioning. This takes pressure off the central nervous system and various structures throughout the head (vision, hearing, balance, sinuses, and brain functioning). In doing so, it can correct problems such as TMJ, vertigo, visual disturbances, all forms of head and face pain, scoliosis, chronic ear and sinus infections, neck pain, inability to hold chiropractic adjustments, and some learning disabilities. Typically only two to three sessions is necessary. This work can be accomplished on people of all ages, infant to elderly. Note: The work is done in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments which follow the initial cranial session. Head trauma does not occur in isolation, when the head is traumatized, the neck and spine is also traumatized. Therefore, it is not only necessary to align the cranial bones, but the neck and entire spine for maximum results.
Homeopathy is a therapeutic system of healing based upon the Law of Similars - “Similia Similibus Curenter” (like cures like symptoms). This means that a substance given in large crude dosages will produce specific symptoms, but when this same material has been reduced in size and administered in minute doses, it will stimulate the body’s reactive processes to remove these same symptoms. This system was developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in Germany, and there are thousands of homeopathic remedies.
Most homeopathic remedies are natural substances derived from vegetable, animal and mineral sources, which are broken down into minute quantities to stimulate the natural defenses of the body. They don’t mask or cover up symptoms and it may take time before the patient feels better, but the patient’s own defenses, properly stimulated and supported, are usually sufficient to return him to health.
Dr. Pitman is an experienced homeopath and a Diplomat of the National Board of Homeopathic Examiners, and Family Tree has an impressive suppliment inventory in order to meet the needs of all our patients.

Biological Terrain Analysis (BTA)
Biological terrain refers to our internal environment. A strong, healthy internal environment will thrive and be resistant to pathogens (harmful bacteria, viruses, overgrowth of yeast, etc.) and pathology (diseases). There are measurable parameters to monitor this environment, giving us insight on how to improve health and quality of life.
In 1935, French Professors Louis-Claude Vincent and Dr. Jeanne Rousseau began measuring the human milieu interior and their findings were published in 1953. Due to dramatic advancements in technology, we now have the means to quickly and accurately determine the health of human fluids, including saliva and urine. Three measurements of each fluid are taken: 1) pH – gives information about the acid-alkaline balance, 2) rH2 – gives information about the level of oxidation/reduction, and 3) R – gives information about the level of electrically conductive ions in the biological fluid. If the body’s cellular chemistry goes astray, cellular dysfunction will follow, resulting in illness. BTA provides us with information on imbalances that may be fixed before the problem starts and/or information on how to fix the in-progress pathology.
Electro-Dermal Screening (EDS)
EDS is a method for providing a vast amount of information about your health. Used worldwide, it is based on principles of modern physics, quantum mechanics and traditional energetic medicine. EDS identifies the body's stressors to determine nutritional imbalances, sensitivity to heavy metals and toxic pollutants, parasites, fungus, yeast, bacteria, viruses, allergies, food sensitivities and dental conditions. Once identified, the practitioner is able to customize a nutritional protocol using homeopathic remedies, herbs, vitamins, minerals and dietary or lifestyle recommendations to bring balance to the body.
N.A.E.T. treatments are a natural, drugless, painless and non-invasive method which can be used safely on individuals of any age (infants to the elderly). An individual can be allergic to anything: foods, drinks, pharmaceutical drugs, vitamins, pollen, grasses, etc. These allergies can be eliminated through N.A.E.T., along with the symptoms arising from the allergens.
N.A.E.T utilizes acupressure, kinesiology, chiropractic and nutrition to reprogram the brain and remove the blockages that cause the allergy. This allows the body to regain perfect balance and function normally to reach optimum health.
N.A.E.T has been practiced for more than 25 years. Dr. Pitman is one of the pioneers of the technique and has been treating people for allergies since 1985. N.A.E.T can help to treat many conditions including Autism, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and Migraines. For a list of other conditions treated by N.A.E.T, click here.

Neuro Integration
Neuro Integration (NI) is a powerful system that restores our divine design to its original state by fine tuning how the nervous system communicates with the body and the brain. It is the intricate weaving of several brillant modalities including applied kinesiology, optics, modern neuroscience, quantum physics, gestalt therapy, electromagnetism and supplimentation.
NI reorganizes the brain's information recieving process by rewiring the neural pathways. It allows the brain to stop firing on pathways that are faulty or weak, neutralizing the brain's habitual reactions to past traumatic life events. At the same time, NI stimulates and strengthens new neural pathways that support the healing process. See http://www.reflexology2.com for more information.
Reflexology, http://www.reflexology2.com, is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands that correspond to every part of the body. Stimulating and applying pressure to the feet and hands increases circulation, promoting specific bodily and muscular function. Reflexology is used to help restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium.
MAT- Muscle Activation Technique
Muscle Activation Technique (MAT) helps restore connections between the brain and the muscles allowing muscles to perform properly. MAT works on muscle attachments instead of muscle bellies. MAT teaches all the muscles to work together. While most therapies focus on treating the muscles with tension and/or pain, MAT gets to the root of pain or injury by addressing muscle weakness rather than muscle tightness. This helps to restore normal body alignment, thereby, decreasing pain and reducing the risk of injury. For more information, see http://www.muscleactivation.com/main.html
